IP vs registering country, user must register in country of IP not alias country
Ip address shows user in one country, but user is registering as in another country. Suggestion fix IP address registration match country of registration.

IP vs country could have the ability to auto detect counties IP address in the event a person is on a business trip and maybe even able to track cookies where the computers has been in the event it is a laptop. IP tracking is very important when it applies to member registering for membership, I hate when people lie about their origin and feel it should be banned. If nothing else it should show other members where the country they registered from if they are claiming to be in another country. Example member is in China and claims to be in England, members profile should show registered as member from China. This would help admin and other members to determine origin of member

There are needs to have ip by country forced into place but member can change country it moving to another country when new country IP is detected.by sytem, Admin must be allowed to approve request for country change.

Note service by country is possible and can detect ip address by country and same email address being used. Service by country lets admin choose what countries to allow service and tracks members profiles who is allowed service to prevent mulitple accounts by the same user. It also tracks members IP address and forces IP country registration not an alias country allowed. Note if member moves to another country IP would update only after 10 times of use in the same country, Every profile would be attached to service by country to allow admin better control of user infomratiom.

I almost forgot to add that service by country would reflect information with each members account in admin panel not user side, this way members would not be offended when site owner has country of origin, IP address, email address by each profile.
With service by country tracking email addresses, Ip address, user id would allow internet cafes when 2 of the items do not match, example: same email address used previously with same Ip address, system rejects new account from being created. or same use id.
Website owners will have be able to add additional countries to service in the event a country is missed to accept or reject.
I know skadate will increase sales if they take my suggestions and work with them. If I got patents or copyrights trademark then I would not ever make it available to anyone, so this is a free bee.suggestion

I made a suggestion to support@skadate.com to add service by country, which would allow site owners to block countries no service is allowed and track IP address of members signing up, forcing auto detect of country member signs up from, thus remove manual country selection from member, and leave in in the admin panel for the admin to change country upon proof of origin.
I also suggested adding it with same email address block to stop more than 1 account being created.
My concept service by country would track email addresses, Ip addresses, user ID, and allow site owners to select only countries which service would be provided, thus countries not in the service provider list would show, service not available to people who attempt to sign up.I own a social network where I can refuse service to countries with known issues and I'm presently forcing real names and contact information. My system blocks fraud members by using methods not found in skadate software. I'm having 3rd parties develop methods of forcing members to be honest. Granite I don't have all the answers, however I feel service by country with IP and email address tracking would help very much.
I also know why people use fraud information when registering. Skadate displays user real name for other members to see. Real name should only display in admin panel and not be public record,
Skadate needs to remove user real name from public record and have auto country IP address as registration which would auto detect new country if member moves to another country. Service by country will make everyone happy

Irene: I know that IP to country works as well as zip code to city. I found people trying to scam members and with IP to country does lockout fraud. Even though a member maybe on vacation when registering, not everyone changes ip because of changeing physical counrty. Note when a member tries to register from an IP address and claiming to be in another counrty, a warning would popup to person that membership will register to country thier in. If changes to country are done while registering with IP address, membership would be banned. In short not allow country change if IP does not match.

Hi there
I had 2 great features added to my website (dream date template), with a 3rd in the pipeline, you can see the first 2 in action on www.lovelychinalady.com. But you need to register a profile, it only works for online users.
The 1st one is a (security) IP check function. If a user is logged in, and he views another offline person's profile, he can see this person's last login details, e.g. username, login date, login time, last ip address, country, area, and city. If the viewed profile is online, it shows the username, online now, current IP address, country, area, and city. In this way, your members can not be cheated. If they correspond say with someone that says he is in USA, New York, but in fact he is a SCAMMER from somewhere in Senegal or Nigeria, this bad SCAMMER can be caught out. Also, if a relationship between 2 people get serious, but 1 is playing the field, he can be caught as well if he lies to his online partner, For example, the guy can say he is in his home town at home, but in fact visiting some other lady elsewhere in another city (or country for that matter).
The 2nd one is a (cool and interesting) match function, that shows 2 profile's compatibility in a graphical way. For example, I might have 10 matches, so now I can see who match me best with a graph and percentage. For this to work well, your users must complete their own profile, and their desired match details properly.
Both these are great features and work extremely well, and is both interesting, and makes your site more safe for your users.
The 3rd and coming feature is another security feature for the admin side, where if a new user signs up, and his join IP indicates for example Sydney, Australia, but the address he specify is not the same, the administrator get flagged (just beneath the join IP) in Admin Panel, also with an email to admin, and an automated email is send out to this user, politely asking an explanation for this, before he or she can join. This I believe would make the administrator's job more easy and also scare away scammers as well!
The code follow the existing Skadate coding and layout closely. I have invested a lot of time, money, and effort into it. I believe this mods can make an already good product even better, and add value to the Skadate package. I would really like to see this code integrated into the original software, for future upgrades sake. If you are interested, please get in touch with me.Best regards,
Jan (A big Skadate software fan)

For those of you who are concerned about IP vs registering country,This system does work and if an individual is on vacation and IP changes. The member can update thier info, but it also allows the site admin to require ID verification to prevent fraud. I know software is available that is open source and is able to be taylored to website. How do you think this goverment tracks petifiles ect. I think some of you are worried that IP vs country is asking too much but if you have it in the admin panel showing IP vs country the admin has the ability to request Profile update or terminate service if not complied.

Spammers are becoming a nuisance. There should be a special admin approval process when members locations don't match their IP address. This way admins can prevent the damage of spammers before it even starts.

For those of you who have this in concern, I know there is 3rd party software available that does register a member with the IP to country and also shows Ip and country in admin panel. However members are not made aware of tracking the IP address nor can they claim to be in another country when registering,. because membership is auto declined and notifies user membership is declined.
I know of this because I have it on other sites than skadate. -

This is a great idea. I've already blocked most of Senegal's IPs but spammers are using proxy servers. I have spammers using U.S. IPs and I don't want to start blocking chunks of U.S. IPs. With an email notification when a user uses a different IP than the location they choose, we can easily delete and block there individual account and IP.

This would be a great help for the site admins, another twist on this would be that an automated email goes out to the new member trying to sign up with the "wrong ip" to ask him to verify his location, with an explanation as to why he is in another country. Many scammers will think twice if they get an email from your site, telling them you kow they are trying to signup from a different country than the one they select as residence...

yes, I agrre with Erin, this will surely deter all these scammers if they know someone can see their whereabouts with a click of a button. Come on Skadate, give us some more security features instead of useless things like shoutboxes!
