Coupon Codes
There should be an area within the admin where you can input coupon codes that offer discounts to the regular subscription cost. A coupon redemption field should be shown under the membership plan on the checkout page where the member can input the code and click on an update button before checking out..
How would coupon codes be applied in case with recurring payments for the memberships?

Shout Box
Shout Box with profiel photo with a horizontal or virticaal choice in the site.
With a admin option tool to delete or change the shout box text.
Sorry for the inconvenience but we had to change the status of this feature development. Due to the fact that we didn't get any reasonable answers on the necessity of the feature shout box and examples where this feature is implemented we decided to continue our discussion.
So feel free to post your comments with answers on why you need this feature and show us good examples where this feature is used. -

Add paymentprovicer which accepts more then just creditcards
I read that 2checkout will be added in the near future as a paymentprovider.
I would like to suggest 2 other providers, because a lot of (our) customers don't own a creditcard.
And the payment providers already in Skadate only accept- Clickandbuy

option in admin/global config to set dateformat in European & US dateformat
Now in profilesearch and joinform the date format is 2009-06-31.
This is not convenient to all European users who use other format 31-06-2009 or 31 juni 2009.Status: plannedThis is a reasonable suggestion. It has been added to the 'planned' features list.

Who viewed me info
Let's give "who viewed me" some more info : when did someone visit your profile (day & hour) & how many times ?
'Who viewed me' is implemented in SkaDate the same way as it is on major dating and community sites. Users seem to find the current information sufficient. Are these changes really necessary? Let us know your opinion.

Add Automated RSS Feeds
Members would be able to subscribe to a RSS feed for new members, latest forums, blogs, latest females, latest males, latest videos etc.

We are currently considering an option of making it possible to subscribe for on-site activity RSS.

classified ads like a newspaper
Make classifiies function like newspaper where members can create ads, which the site admin can approve or recject. Classified ads could also have time to run with a fee based upon membership of site

Phone Application
More people are moving to smartphones with data plans. To have people always on your dating site, how about interactive phone applications? Each one customized, for example, the iPhone, Blackberry, Palm, Sony Ecrisson, Nokia, Windows Mobile, Android, INQ, etc.... It's just like Facebook and Twitter on the go.

Allow groups to have their own chatrooms.
If each group had their own chatroom. It would make the website more interactive. In a sense it would allow you to have several "mini" sites within your site, especially if they could download photos within the group. As the owner of the site you would still be in charge overall. It wou... more

Hash&salt user-passwords
Skadate saves user-passwords in plaintext. This is a security flaw: if someone gains access to the database that person can see all those passwords.
I'd suggest that only a salted hash of the password is saved in database ("MD5(CONCAT('mypassword','somesalt'))").

Category module for sections: photo, video, events...
I think everything would be more user friendly if the sections of the site will have Categories. It is difficult to search photos, videos... without categories.

Facebook Integration into Skadate
The ability to synchronization of Facebook account and a profile on a site powered by Skadate is greatly needed.... everyone has a facebook account

double IP-adress warning
I think we need a warning (or something like that) when someone makes a profile with an IP-adress that already exists.
Some people keep on making new profiles when their test-period is over, so they always have a profile without paying.
Your suggestion is supported by reasonable arguments, but has some negative sides too. It will play against you if:
- two or more family members try to register from the same computer;
- a user tries to register from an Internet-cafe with static IP address that has already been taken.
- a user tries to register from a corporate network computer, whose IP has already been taken,
and in all similar cases.

IP vs registering country, user must register in country of IP not alias country
Ip address shows user in one country, but user is registering as in another country. Suggestion fix IP address registration match country of registration.

The forum needs several improvements. At the moment, it is really just a guestbook
It needs capability to link online images, font options, video embedding (at least youtube videos with their embed code). Also a preview screen and modify option. The current forum is far less than what could be found 12 years ago just everywhere.

Track mobile version with Google Analytics
The mobile version should also contain the google analyitcs code!
It is then separable in GA by the /m/ url beginning.
